Neighbours of all ages and all walks of life came together for a block party last June. We were able to close down the street to provide a quiet and relaxing space. Grant money was used to provide a simple meal for all, as well as purchase materials towards making planter boxes. We had the Vancouver Tool Library come to our event to promote its fabulous community minded organization, as well as lend a hand in helping kids, teens and adults make planter boxes. People from our street organized fun games like cake walk, volleyball, guessing games, relay races etc…. A good time was had by all. We are very appreciative of the Vancouver Neighbourhood Small Grants! Thank you!
