Learn about ecofriendly alternatives that are easier than mowing. Examples of seeds, sedum matts and demonstration beds will be shared. West Coast Seeds, Nat’s Wholesale Nursery and Grow Green Guide (Metro Vancouver and UBC Botanical Garden) have options for lower mainland lawns that are beautiful and low maintenance. Bonus – they use less water and are beneficial for biodiversity. Come prepared to take notes and get your hands active as we’ll be putting down some seeds and learning about our produce library living roof.
