For celebrating multicultural creative writing and lightening up community spirit, we will host ‘2015 Multicultural Creative Writing Festival’ at Richmond Public Library on September 25 from 10:30 am to 12 noon, co-sponsored by Culture Days, City of Richmond, Vancouver Foundation, Richmond Cares & Richmond Gives, and Richmond Public Library.
Everyone is welcome to participate this event from famous poets and writers to any individual who is passionate about creative writing. All participants will read their writings in their preferable languages and contribute their unique talent into this event.
A book will be published after the recitation for all submissions and will be sent to every participant as an appreciation. Submissions are very welcome. Each submission shall be no more than 500 words include poetries, essays, short stories; etc.; shall provide writer’s brief introduction and photo; if written in other languages rather than English, shall provide a brief English translation.
This event will be a very good opportunity to connect people from different backgrounds, for example, European and Asian culture backgrounds. The goal for this event is bringing community members from different ethnic groups together to celebrate multiculturalism via beautiful creative writing recitals, and simply appreciate the way each is helping the other.
