On Sunday June 12th, 4 stratas joined together the communities within our 4 adjacent condos to celebrate summer and have some fun. It was a sunny day, and kids, dogs, & new friends had an opportunity to get to know one another. The afternoon began with a free BBQ & snacks, and rolled out with crowd games (balloon toss, cake walk, neighbourhood trivia contest) and even a doggie contest (longest sit, best trick etc). We approached local businesses to contribute free gift certificates as prizes, and had a cruiser from the local community police unit come visit so the kids could honk the horn (and what’s a party until the police show up ?). The main point was for busy local condo residents to get know one another in a fun, casual way- and judging from the crowds, I think we succeeded.
