BFF is a neighbourhood party connecting friends, local businesses and residents together through communal drawing activities with delightful snacks and refreshments at The Aviary.

Join us for a communal drawing activity about what The Fraserhood / Fraser Street and what this neighborhood means to you. Your drawings may be selected to be part of small-run print publication that will be available for after the event .

This BFF party is being held at The Aviary, a new open studio and co-working space for creatives and designers located in the heart of The Fraserhood on East 15th. The Aviary is specifically located on street level with large scale windows to encourage interaction between designers and people like you and me.

Free snacks and refreshments will be served from local Fraserhood businesses.

History about Fraser Street and Kingsway
Fraser Street (Do you mean Kingsway?) has always played an important role in connecting the city together from its origins linking New Westminster, Burrard Inlet and the Fraser River. The Fraser River was an important source of food for aboriginals for generations. In 1875, Kingsway was established as a “wagon road” to connect the Fraser River to False Creek. By connecting the city, residents were able to access fresh fruits and dairy plants for their neighbors and families — building a richer community.

Fraser and Kingsway have always been a connectors for residents and businesses throughout Vancouver’s history. Join us in continuing this legacy in by meeting new residents, families and businesses in through our BFF Party at The Aviary.
