Hello Neighbours & NSG Projects Leaders.
You are invited to visit our Neighbourhood Small Grant project, the ‘Cadet’s Garden’, which is located at the Billy Bishop Legion — 1407 Laburnum Street. The Cadet Garden is located on the north side of the building — just walk through the wrought iron arch entrance.
On Saturday, June 25th, 2pm – 4pm, the Billy Bishop is celebrating “Legion Week” and is hosting a ‘Community Families Open House’. There will be various activities including face painting and balloon making. Everyone is invited — we hope you can take this opportunity to drop by the event and visit the Cadet’s Garden at the same time!
The photo shows a few of the volunteers, including Cadets, Cadet Leaders, and seniors that all volunteered to clean up the garden space that the Billy Bishop Legion kindly loaned to our group for this Neighbourhood Small Grant project. Flowers and vegetables were then planted by the volunteers in the new planters — we are hoping to have a harvest with the Cadet groups and share the results!!!! Feel free to drop by and have a look any time!
