‘Plant a Tree’ – Grow Our Community
Our team planned two events with one theme: ‘Plant a tree – Grow our community.’ The 1st event (May 29) was to plant a tree bought from the Vancouver Tree Week in our community garden. Around the newly planed tree we sang together, “If you’re happy and you show it plant a tree.”
The 2nd even is scheduled for October 30th, a day before Halloween. We are coming together (generations, languages) to check out how our new tree is growing, and we are discussing how we can grow as a community to be safe and flourishing community to our people. We will plant three additional trees and celebrate with the BBQ around these newly planted trees.
