We held a block party and potluck for our community. Since our neighbourhood has 5 townhouse complexes which include one social housing complex and a housing co-op, we saw almost 300 people attend the block party. Some of the highlights:
1) We had a bouncy castle and popcorn machine
2) Scotiabank sponsored 400 hot dogs and also helped cook them for us
3) Burnaby North Secondary’s jazz band performed for us throughout the party
4) Our MLA and MP attended the entire party
5) Our local fire department came with their fire truck and our police department came with the police car
