On behalf of the Downtown Intercultural Gardeners Society (DIGS), we are overjoyed to report that we have welcomed two colonies of healthy, thriving, buzzing bees to the rooftop of St. Paul’s Hospital. As an adjunct to our longtime gardening activities, the Observational Beehive Project was made possible with the support of the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Foundation.
To celebrate this achievement, we would like to invite you to attend our official unveiling celebration on Saturday, Aug. 17, starting at 12 p.m. We will say a few words of thanks to the many people and organizations who helped make this project a reality, as well as take a peak inside the observational hives for a little show-and-tell.
