*FREE* Fall/Winter Gardening workshop on Saturday AUGUST 16th from 12pm-3pm in East Vancouver.
The workshop is geared towards beginner gardeners, who want to learn how to extend their growing season from late summer/fall to early winter. We will be going over different methods used to ‘extend’ the season, as well as other basics of gardening. Everyone will leave with a seed package of a variety of species designed for our BC coastal climate, a work booklet going over basics concepts of fall/winter gardening and hands on experience planting a few varieties of late summer crops!
If you are interested in taking food security into your own hands, sharing in community of others interested in gardening, or feel like it’s too late in the season to grow anything… this event is for you!
