We are excited that the Gardens at City Hall in New Westminster are coming along fast! We have seen a big transformation of the east side of the lawn at City Hall. Thanks to a NSG we are able to have a soil work party on June 25th and connect with the community. All are invited to come join us Sunday June 25th 10am-2pm to help move soil into the garden beds, meet neighbours who will share plots at the Gardens at City Hall, inquire about remaining space and share gardening tips and ideas for the garden! We will have food and drinks on hand.
We are looking for a few wheelbarrows and some shovels for this event as well. If you can provide these or help connect us with who has them that would be great!
This is the newest community garden in New Westminster and the effort to get a garden at city hall was put forward by members of the New West Environmental Partners and will be supported in an ongoing basis by the New Westminster Community Garden Society and the City of New Westminster.
