Happy People Time Flashmob is about Kids, families and the rest of the community engaging in a Happy African joyous dance.
This is an opportunity for people form different communities to mingle and interact with each other, as well for kids from different communities to learn about each other and learn a new skill together.
The African songs chosen, will be an easy routine, that combines, partner, group work as well as freestyle, showing off dance skills and getting into character within the dance.
Families are encouraged to bring their kids as the kids will be the highlight of the dance.
The Flashmob is scheduled for August 23rd 2014 and will be taking place at 2 or 3 places.
This is not like any typical Flashmob. We are planning on having two groups that will perform at the) Art Gallery and the other on Granville Street (the part that is closed off from traffic) and then all together the groups will meet at English Bay and do our last Happy People time dance and invite our audience in the dance.
Each time the group performs the moment is called Happy people time.
Individuals who are not shy to move their bodies and be silly and show off their dance skills are ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!
We want to shake vancouver a little bit, with big smiles, colours, different races, kids and all different communities as ONE!!
The FLASHMOB DOES NOT END THERE… Throughout our practice, every person will have written little notes of kindness, happiness, inspiration,motivation,that will be printed . The notes will be given to our audiences, who will take them and keep them and will take a photo of it and will leave it for a stranger OR pass it on to a stranger or friend . All the photos taken of the notes around Vancouver will be posted on our Facebook page – Happy People Time.
