What is meditation?

At first, meditation involves cultivating the
attention. Imagine being able to effortlessly focus
on a chosen object for as long as you’d like. Once
the mind is made serviceable by this ability to
focus – then meditation can be used to analyze
reality in such a way the leads to the permanent
cessation of mental affliction.

Can I do it?

Yes. If you have the desire to meditate, it is most
certainly within your capacity.

How do I do it?

Join us every Sunday for 11 weeks to learn and
practice meditation. At the end of this course,
there will be a special weekend urban retreat by
guest teacher Douglas Veenhof, an international
meditation instructor who comes to Vancouver
only twice a year! Drop-in’s welcome.

About the Instructor

Meshe was drawn to meditation in 2004 as a means of overcoming mental suffering. The meditative path lead her to complete many 10-day silent
retreats, and to continuously study and practice meditation; she has experienced its benefits and believes that they are all-encompassing.
