OpenStage is a free Arts Cafe for artists of all ages to venture. Unlike your conventional indoor Cafes, OpenStage actually takes place in the middle of beautiful Queens Park in New Westminster, under the shelter of the Band shell. OpenStage is also aptly named in that it invites all of its participants to sit on-stage along with the performers, making the park the new back-drop of the stage and creating a literal “shared-space” to generate a sense of community.
The detailed programming for OpenStage is dynamic and will be announced in the following weeks, however, the overall programming will have an open-mic portion for all artists, a featured performer every night, free snacks and drinks, and even board games! We will also have instruments there for you to use as well so all you have to do is show up! We would love to see all of you down at the BandShell in the next few months. Whether you’re looking to perform, or if you’re just looking for a place to relax and enjoy some great musicians and artists! You can check out more details along with a map of the park at:
