After some unexpected delay, we will finally be installing 2 communal herb gardens in our neighbourhood as well as finishing our communal vegetable growing area this weekend. The herb gardens are on two separate ends of a large townhouse site in the community of champlain heights in southeast Vancouver. On Saturday afternoon we will begin work on the herb garden at the bottom of Capri crescent at around 2:45pm, aiming to finish by 6pm. The next day we will be commencing work on the herb garden at other end of the complex at the bottom of Aegean crescent starting at around noon. If we finish up early we can put some work in together on spreading soil for our communal vegetable area.
Anyone interested is welcome to come out and a community garden tour will be provided.
