The Drive through Back to School BBQ here at Xwisten, Bridge River Indian band, was a hit with the community. We had 50 people pop by for burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and handed out 32 PPE kits for the youth going back to school. The PPE kits contained; a reusable face cover, reusable gloves, hand sanitizer, other goodies, and a handout explaining the importance of using PPE. The youth had had fun getting out, parents thought the drive-through was a great idea. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with the community, get students excited about Back to School, while also sharing valuable information and resources.
