This is the first year our Block Watch hosted a barbeque to invite our neighbours to come out and get to know each other. Creating connections with our neighbours allows us to develop a sense of community and desire to look out for one another.
The event was held on a Canada day evening to allow as many to attend as possible. Neighborhood is relatively small but the turn out was very good with over 40 people attending.
In addition to the BBQ all guest brought a non perishable item which was donated to the richmond food bank society.
