On Car Free Day, June 21, we had a successful and fun event in front of Little Mountain Neighbourhood House. We had a tent with banner, a Food Quiz with prizes, the Food Asset Map with icons (participants would place the icons on the map in the areas with food assets they were familiar with), Garden survey and Kids activity: “Kids on the Ground Painting Rocks”.  The latter included rocks, glitter, paper, rhinestones, and markers. Further, we had kids making a huge collage with food magazines representing “What wil grow in your garden?”.
We had many volunteers participating and all enjoyed June 21.

Neighbourhood Small Grants

We believe the best people to effect change in a community are the ones within it. And when we can make money less of an issue in doing so, it allows so many more kinds of ideas to shine.
