A group of residents from Sointula, on Malcolm Island northeast of Vancouver Island, organized a few educational walks where they foraged natural foods including mushrooms and seaweed. The group then hosted a foragers’ feast and community potluck at Coho Joe’s in Sointula. The feast was open to all community members and free to attend. All dishes in the feast included at least one foraged ingredient.
