Our GC funded project called “Fridge Literacy”, is now being called the Produce Library. This beautiful produce library was designed and build by volunteer students from UBC and especially Robin. It has 2 slanted shelves with a roof. We are planning to grow greens on the roof and we will use tiles and paint produce on it with the use of stencils. These produce tiles will be waterproof and added to the legs. Next year we will use it to display the wide range of produce of the community garden, for educational purposes and to offer food to community members. Further, we also installed an info board in the community garden made by UBC students for announcements about the garden to community members/volunteers.

Neighbourhood Small Grants
We believe the best people to effect change in a community are the ones within it. And when we can make money less of an issue in doing so, it allows so many more kinds of ideas to shine.
