7 members of the Tofino community signed up to come and learn environmentally friendly natural Indigo dyeing techniques. We discussed the history, chemistry and process of Indigo dyeing, and prepared a vat. Then, we each dyed a shawl using different pattern-making techniques. The morning was filled with laughter, creativity and community building! Thanks for supporting this project.
