Thank you very much for the opportunity to share this skill with my neighbours! The grant money allowed me to gather supplies, cover rental costs, and give thanks to our expert fermenter who we invited. We ended up being a small group of five due to people cancelling last minute. However, it was a beautifully intimate learning experience for those who could make it.

We fermented cabbage to make sauerkraut, and in another jar, we fermented carrots and cauliflower with various spices. Participants were amazed at how easy fermenting is. A package was handed out to inform them about fermented foods’ process and health benefits, along with some recipes.
