In July the neighbourhood of Craigflower/Candlewood and Francis Rds gathered together for a BBQ Block Party with the theme of Crime Prevention through Neighbourhood Design. We were joined by 2 members of the Richmond RCMP Auxillary who spoke at our gathering about how to keep your property safe by carefully looking at how your exterior design features (ie. shrubs around the front door, unlocked ladders easily accessible). They were there as a resource for anyone who had a question regarding policing in our community.
We had approx 70 neighbours and friends turn out for our party. Everyone reported it was a huge success.
