I applied and received an NSG grant in the winter of 2021. There is not much offered for younger toddlers for crafts in our community. I organized a Christmas ornament making craft event for parents and tots. The NSG grant made it possible for the event to be accessible at no cost to the participants. Each tot received a kit of ornaments to craft with their caregiver. They each got to make a classic handprint ornament, a driftwood tree, a reindeer wood round, and paintable Christmas characters on wood rounds. We were able to have covid protocols in place so it was a safe and fun way to get together in the winter. There was a ton of interest and I would love to do it again sometime! The moms/dads/grandmas were grateful for the opportunity to participate.
