The workshop took place in the Little Mountain Neighbourhood House. We partenered with local shops to get special deals on materials and supplies, as well as with the David Susuki Foundation to get handouts and recipes.
We were two to organize the workshop in 4 stations where participants were guided through activities. About twenty participants learnt how to make their own shampoo, hair paste, oil and conditioner.
They were provided with all the ingredients and glass containers to create 4 hair care products.
The break included snacks and beverage.
At the end, participants had the opportunity to fill out an evaluation form. The comments were wonderful and gave us soem ideas for future workshops! They also received extra goodies and leftover snacks and fruit.
