We’re excited about our upcoming NSG project, slated for Sept. 17. We are planning a sit-down bbq with long tables where neighbours can get to know each other in a social, friendly environment. We have arranged for a band and a speaker who will deliver a 15-minute talk on neighbourhood security. There will be a crafts table for young kids and a BBQ potluck dinner. The event has generated excitement and interest in the neighbourhood and we are not short of volunteers, which is a great sign. We are grateful to the NSG grant administrators for the funding, and for giving us the impetus to do this. It’s wonderful to know there is a foundation out there so committed to fostering good relationships in various neighbourhoods!
