Topics covered include: drawing, composition, colour values, colour mixing and paint application. By the end of this small workshop, participants will have a better understanding of what makes a successful picture and how to go about creating one. In addition, participants will develop increased observational skills, confidence and technical ability in their respective medium. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies or use whatever medium they prefer, but the workshop will be in watercolor and gouache paint. Paper, paint, mixing palettes and water containers will be supplied, and participants are encouraged to bring their own brushes, however there will be several brushes on hand if attendees are unable to bring their own. Also bring a bottle of water to fill your jar, and a lawn chair to sit & paint (or easel if you have one). Ideal participants will have some fundamental understanding of things like perspective and painting knowledge, however all skill levels are welcome. Come prepared to learn and bring your passion for creating art from life!

This project will be taking place outdoors, which will allow for fresh air. Participants will be asked to stay 6 feet apart and wear masks. I will be wearing a mask while giving anyone assistance on their work if they request it.
