We were able to host a neighbourhood kick-off to summer. With the grant money, we purchased pizza from a local restaurant, soft drinks from a local grocery store, and toys for the kids from a local kid’s store. We were lucky to find an evening that worked with everyone in the eight houses in our neighbourhood! We had 16 adults and nine kids attend the event. Everyone brought a salad or dessert to share, a lawn chair, and an appetite! It was an incredible evening of connection, conversation, good times, and some good old trampoline jumping and hide-and-seek. Thanks to the Neighbourhood Small Grants for helping bring our community together!
