I did a Butterflyway wildflower seed bomb project at the local library to inspire the community to plant flowers in corridors connecting across multiple properties. The registration went through the library’s channel. I was appreciative of their coordination.
15 people registered in advance, 8 turned up on the day. Of those that attended, 2 signed up to receive my free ‘ecogarden guide: help butterflies by planting native, low-maintenance wildflowers’ so hopefully they create their own butterflyway.
It was a great mess on the library’s patio; they provided the picnic benches and I provided the supplies (clay, organic soil, tools, containers, napkins and wildflower seeds.)
I think those attending liked getting their hands dirty with the clay and soil! I will do another this fall with my own seeds and money, it was really great to be a part of something for the community. Thank you
