This kind of project, by its very nature, remains deeply connected to the growing connection between craft and friendship. Craft education must first articulate a consciously constructed technique, while craft products are the material crystallization of history and tradition. We’ve experimented with various workshop formats, using limited materials and emphasizing creativity and expression. This round of projects aims to allow participants to freely choose from a variety of formats.

While paper cutting is the most affordable form of art, it requires skill and an understanding of traditional art forms. Some choose to create complex block effects to create their finished products. Attached are several photos taken by various groups, some of which chose to complete their work within a limited timeframe. I’m impressed by the overwhelming support and success of this group in the Fleetwood area, from individuals to families and even the community.

I look forward to next opportunity to demonstrate the community connection theme base art & craft workshop in our neighbourhood.
