I had the idea to create and offer my community a free garden library, as I often have plants to share as I transplant and divide my garden. I realized I also have other garden-related items I would love to share with people.
I have seen many little free book libraries, and some puzzle-sharing ones as well. As our community is very gardening-oriented (our Garden Club is the largest nonprofit group in Gabriola), I thought, “Why not put all these ideas together in one place!” My partner and I created the “building” and renovated a lovely space to put it so it was easily accessible to everyone.
