This is the third in a series of community engagement talks with Q&A with Haa’yuups (Ron Hamilton) and the community of Port Alberni. The theme of this talk is: The Meaning of Names.
Organized by local community activists dedicated to promoting meaningful discussion between Nuuchahnulth and the community of Port Alberni.
The previous 2 public discussions were very well received, having been attended by 60 and 95 attendees respectively. These important discussions were videotaped for their important historical value.
The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust and the Vancouver Foundation were publicly acknowledged for their support of these important community-building/educational initiatives.
