We have formed this group in our neighbourhood so that in the case of emergency i.e. fire, earthquake or flood we can band together to help each other out. The Neighbourhood Small grant enabled us to come together for a summer BBQ. We had 17 of our 21 members attend. With the grant money I was able to provide hamburgers, hotdogs and salads for the group. I also purchased draw prizes that consisted of fire blankets, fire extinguisher, flashlights, battery radio, head lights. Everyone went home with a prize. We also played games. We had Red Solo Cup water brigade and a fire safety crossword game. Everyone had a great time and we now know our neighbours and can help out when needed.
