I’ve seen little book libraries, seed libraries and pantries all around town. I thought to myself, how cool it would be to have a Puzzle equivalent of these libraries. I put a poll out on my neighbourhood Facebook groups to see if people would be interested if I built one. There was a resounding response of YES! With the help of the NSG program, I was able to build one. Now that it is here, I’ve had lots of excitement from my neighbours. And even better, there has been a constant flow of puzzles coming in and going out.

I’m so grateful that I’ve had the support to make this happen and share my love of puzzles. My father came down from Alberta to help me with the build. A local builder helped supply me with shingles, and someone from my community let me use their Cricut so I could print out all the designs for the box.

Puzzles are one of those things that can cost a lot of money, and people tend to do them only once. Now we have a place where we can share our existing puzzles and give people easy access to fresh ones without having to spend a lot and take up the valuable, limited space we have in this city.

It’s been such a joy seeing people walking by and stopping to check out the puzzles. I’ve even had people drive over just to check it out. I hope that this can become a staple in our community and continue to encourage the sharing of our resources.
