Hello!

The Junk Journal Club in Pemberton took place on August 2nd, after one attempt in July when no one showed up. I believe there is interest in the community, but because it was summer, people may have preferred to spend their time outdoors. That was probably the most challenging part: there was interest, but only a few people were able to come on the date.

For me, it doesn’t really matter if the group is small or big. What matters is the impact the activity can have on someone’s day. Nowadays, we have so many distractions and spend so much time in front of screens, so I really enjoyed creating a space where people could slow down and make something with their hands using paper, glue, magazines, tickets, and other simple materials.

I’m looking forward to organizing more Junk Journal Clubs in the fall and continuing to create and connect with the community. 🙂
