As a part of the Good Food Network and the Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiatives Roundtable, our Food Literacy group normally hosts an in-person gathering once a year in June to bring together people who work in the area of food literacy and those with an interest in the subject. This year our group decided that in light of COVID-19 we would offer instead a series of webinars to bring people together virtually. From April to July, we held webinars every two weeks on different topics all related to food literacy. The webinars were recorded and are now available for viewing http://www.crfair.ca/food-literacy. Topics include Eating Well on a Budget, Seeds at the Root of Food Security, Growing Together, Restaurants in the Time of COVID, Reducing Food Waste at Home, Food Resources in the Community and the New South Island FarmHub.
