Monday Music Magic empowers musicians to share their innate creativity through instrumental music in Kozier Park all summer long. Allowing musicians to work as a team without a conductor led them to create impassioned music as they engaged in lifelong learning. Playing outdoors creates a whole new learning and sharing environment; sound is different with heat and breeze, and musicians learned to accommodate both.
After performing for the community of Kozier Drive with the summer park band, many band members continue in the fall with community and school band programs.
We are truly inspired to share with the local community. Music is a language that crosses cultural and linguistic barriers, and it is a privilege to share that joy with anyone who wants to listen. Audiences ranged in size from 8 to 20 on Mondays throughout the 2026 summer season. Richmond Neighbourhood small grants help little ideas thrive in big ways ♫
