The principal idea of the project was to switch up the dynamic during the pandemic and get a few kids out of the house and let their parents take a break during this pandemic.
Because of the pandemic, we could only accommodate 6 kids at a time, which turned out to be from two neighbouring families. There were children of all ages so we ended up doing several different woodworking projects. There were some spoons made, some wood carving, and some coat hangers made. Different hand tools and power tools were introduced and used, with safety lessons along the way.
This was a very fun and satisfying project to be a part of, having read a bunch of the other and older projects, I can see a lot of good has come from all this, so thank you Neighbourhood Small Grants for the opportunity and keep up the good work.
