One of the most powerful steps you can take to improve your health, boost energy levels, and prevent chronic diseases is to move to a plant-based diet. You know that science shows that by changing your nutrition you could live longer, help the environment, and reduce your risk of getting sick. Thank You! Small neighborhood grants with you support we were able to focus on low cost, zero waste and health eating. I took the opportunity to invite men and women to a hands on amazing cooking classes and information workshops. People enjoyed sharing, cooking and eating various cultural recipes with everyone who attended. With grocery prices rising sharply quite quickly, we were worried we would not be able to cover all costs for all participants as initially planned. But fortunately we were able to provide participants with all the ingredients needed. Participants were able to learn the benefits of plant based diet, easy weigh management, prevent or reverse type two diabetes, and that is better for the planet, and above all It will save you money in groceries. Through this project we were able to learn and bond with one another over our love of delicious healthy dishes.
We all had an amazing time during Zoom workshops as well as in the 3 hour hands on cooking party. There was relaxing music, lots of laughter, socializing and fun. The best part was that everyone was happy and enjoyed the good time after all these COVID-19 restrictions. We all really appreciated the foods and get together with each other. I had friends and family making it possible who did help me a lot to make these classes possible, shopping, speaking, doing demos and getting the place ready. I learned from the cooking party how to help each other to make people in our neighborhoods happy and less stressful. With permission of the people I am including pictures of the activities
