Walking by my house was a retired electrician named Geoff. He was always finding really neat things that he thought the kids would love to see. He made simple connection boards showing how electricity flowed and interesting experiments that you can do with the power of magnets. So I wrote in for the small community grant, arranged for the Kimberley Lawn Bowling Greens to open up the club house and bought some drinks and snacks! With a little promotion we had 47 families stop by to learn how to have fun with science! We had a kinetics station, gardening, magnets, electricity and food chemistry. The children were allowed to take home a science toy and the age range went from 3-15 years and caregivers also played and had fun with their children!
