Alzheimer’s Awareness Event Report
On May 8, 2024, we successfully organized an Alzheimer’s Awareness event aimed at educating and engaging the community about Alzheimer’s disease. The event was attended by 30 enthusiastic participants, each contributing to a day filled with informative and creative activities.

Activities
The event commenced with a warm welcome to all participants, setting a positive tone for the day. The primary focus was on interactive activities designed to foster creativity and provide a platform for participants to express their understanding and experiences related to Alzheimer’s.

Card Making and Coloring
One of the main attractions was the card-making and colouring session. Tables were set up with a variety of supplies, including coloured pencils, markers, paints, and an assortment of blank cards. Participants eagerly engaged in creating heartfelt messages and colourful designs. This activity not only allowed for artistic expression but also served as a therapeutic exercise, promoting mental well-being through creative engagement.

Informative Discussions
In addition to the creative activities, we held a comprehensive discussion session on Alzheimer’s disease. Experts in the field provided valuable insights into the symptoms, progression, and management of Alzheimer’s. This session was interactive, with participants encouraged to ask questions and share personal stories. The discussion helped demystify the disease, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis, caregiving strategies, and available resources for families affected by Alzheimer’s.

Tokens of Appreciation
As a token of gratitude for their participation, each attendee received a specially designed cup.  The gesture was well-received, adding a personal touch to the event’s conclusion.

Lunch and Networking
Following the structured activities, a lunch was served, providing a variety of nutritious options catering to different dietary needs. This meal offered participants an opportunity to relax, socialize, and network with one another. The informal setting encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences, further fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

Feedback and Conclusion
The feedback received from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed appreciation for the blend of educational content and engaging activities. The event not only raised awareness about Alzheimer’s disease but also highlighted the importance of community support in managing and understanding the condition.

In conclusion, the Alzheimer’s Awareness event was a resounding success. It achieved its goals of educating participants, fostering a supportive community environment, and providing a platform for creative and therapeutic activities. The positive response from attendees underscores the need for continued efforts in Alzheimer’s education and support, inspiring us to plan future events with even greater impact.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and experts who contributed to the success of this event. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
