The event aims to increase family and communities’ attention to public library resources and services, meanwhile to invite the neighbours to get together and know more about each other.
Collaborated with Richmond Public Library – Brighouse Branch, Book Luck event was held successfully on July 23. There were 57 participants, some passers-by and 15 volunteers and staff on site. In the event, people enjoyed talk and refreshments, shared their interest of reading books, and knew more about what the public library could offer them. The event was well recognized by the community and participants.
We truly appreciate Neighbour Small Grants – Vancouver Foundation, Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives and Richmond Public Library – Brighouse Branch to make the event happen together with us. We would like to say thank you to DavidsTea for the in-kind sponsorship. Meanwhile we are grateful to Richmond Cultural Centre, Environmental Programs Department of City of Richmond – local government, Green Ambassadors and all the volunteers for your great help and support. Thank all the guests here for your passion for reading and participation in Book Luck!
