Castlegar Queer Care was a huge success! Castlegar Pride is a growing, multi-generational group of friends. On August 11, we met and ate yummy Indian food and created a banner together that we used at Trail Pride’s first ever Pride Parade and will use again to march in Nelson Pride.
This year has been a busy and full time. We have worked hard together to put on regular community events, organize a first ever Queer Fest, an evening of drag, poetry and music. We worked hard alongside other folks from Castlegar to elect a trans man in an SD 20 school trustee.
This picnic and banner party was a perfect way to celebrate our success and to deepen the bonds we have created. Thank you Neighbourhood Small Grants.
