Do you live, work, or play in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, or just plain love congee? Please drop by, join us for a nourishing bowl of rice porridge, and connect with friends, family and neighbours! We will be serving congee to members of the community, young and old, on August 5 (Saturday), from 10:30am to 12:30pm, or until we run out, at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House. You will be able to share about your comfort foods, map where you find them, and take away congee tips from us as well!
Registration is not required, but if you plan on coming, please try to send us an email ahead of time at communitycongee@gmail.com – it will help us ensure we’re able to serve and accommodate as many people as we can.
