When I first started my grant to offer rainbow stickers in my neighbourhood, I truly didn’t know how the community would respond. My wife and I enjoy living in our lovely neighbourhood and shopping and dining locally. When I started taking the envelopes around and asking shop owners to read the letter enclosed that asked them to accept this gift and put it on display, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Most people were willing to put up the sticker, while some said they would and didn’t and others just said no and had their reasons. I started out with small stickers, but hopefully, this will encourage them in the future to do more. I loved my neighbourhood before, love it even more now.
