We held a series of movies in our driveway to bring the neighbourhood households together. We ordered pizza and then offered popcorn halfway through the viewings. The movies had to be held later at night to wait for it to be dark enough out for the screen to be visible.
It was a special treat for some kids to be able to stay up late. Residents walking by could see the activity going on and several times some stopped by. The grant money was used to provide food and equipment for the events. Given the popularity it is likely these will continue through the summer. The next one is already being planned.
