The project went as planned. We had an amazing afternoon of community connection through embroidery. A total of 20 women, ranging in age from 8 to over 80 years old, attended the event. We shared embroidery techniques and personal stories throughout the workshop. One woman shared that she used to enjoy embroidery before she had children. Over the years, she believed she had lost the ability to embroider because so much time had passed. By the end of the workshop, she was filled with joy after rediscovering both her embroidery skills and the mindfulness and beauty that embroidery brings. We had three generations of one family attend the workshop—a grandmother, a mother, and a child. The workshop fostered meaningful connections not only among neighbours but also within families. It was a truly loving opportunity for participants to learn, create, and spend quality time together. I am thankful to NSG for this opportunity
