We had an amazing afternoon at Marpole Neighbourhood House—19 women, aged 9 to 80+, came together to express their emotions through embroidery. We shared stories of life, children, and dreams to come, our hearts warmed by soup, cookies, and cake. The biggest challenge was that we were a large group, but everyone was kind and welcoming, and together we managed to learn together. My whole body was sore the next day from the physical effort, but I felt filled with positive energy.
