The inaugural Creekside Art Guild event was held in October and brought neighbours together to celebrate creativity and community. The theme for this first gathering was Halloween, inspiring participants to create seasonal art through sketching and painting. In addition to the visual arts, the evening featured a casual music jam session, offering a dynamic and interactive experience for all attendees.
The event was hosted in a cozy neighborhood home, fostering an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Guests enjoyed homemade cider and other seasonal refreshments, which added to the warm, festive vibe. The gathering attracted a diverse mix of artists, musicians, and community members of all skill levels, creating an inclusive space to connect, collaborate, and share inspiration. We created a Facebook group, which currently has 28 members, to make awareness of future events easy.
This successful first meet-up marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-running series of regular gatherings. The next event, scheduled for December, will feature holiday and ski-themed art activities, continuing our mission to bring the community together through creativity and shared experiences.
