The Farm To Table event was a highly successful event. Our community has struggled with attendance to some amazing events this summer and this event, reaching capacity quickly, was a step in the right direction. A great diversity of community members came with children and friends.
A local farm provided fresh food to be prepared at a local heritage site. The food was served by volunteers to people seated outdoors with local musicians serenading the event. The atmosphere was relaxed and conversation friendly.
I learned that with an event like this that to ease stress it is wise to request attendees to reserve if they want to eat at the event. But to make sure the advertising clearly states that the event is free to attend. We had snacks/fresh fruit/refreshments available for those who did not reserve a spot at the tables.
